Yes — Beijing is one of China's most family-friendly cities. Metro has elevators, museums have kids' sections, and the Great Wall toboggan is a hit with kids 6+.
When is best for family Beijing?
April-May and September-October for weather. Avoid winter (cold) and summer (heat). National holidays are very crowded — Golden Week is the worst.
Is the Great Wall toboggan safe for kids?
Yes — the toboggan runs in a controlled metal trough, not on the wall. Drivers control speed with brake levers. Kids 6+ can ride alone; younger kids share with parents.
How long should kids spend at the Wall?
2-3 hours is enough. The cable car up + toboggan down is the easiest. The wall itself is wide and walkable. Most kids love the views and watchtowers.
