Is 5 days enough for Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang?
Yes for highlights. You cover both Zhangjiajie parks and an overnight Fenghuang stay. Add a day for Huanglongdong cave or a Miao village homestay.
When is Zhangjiajie best?
April-May and September-October for clear weather and visibility. June-August is hot and humid with afternoon rain. Winter offers snow scenes but trails can be icy.
Is the glass skywalk worth it?
Yes for the thrill. Tianmen Mountain's glass walkway is 60 m long, 1,430 m above sea level. Bring slip-on shoes (you carry your regular shoes).
How do I get to Fenghuang from Zhangjiajie?
Bus from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station: 4 hours, ¥110. Or HSR to Fenghuang Ancient Town Station: 3 hours (with transfer). Most travelers take the bus.
