      Morning

      Tiananmen Square + Forbidden City (book ahead). Allow 3-4 hours for the Palace.

      Afternoon

      Peking duck at Duck de Chine or Quanjude; walk the Wangfujing night market for the spectacle (don't eat from the stalls).

    2. Day 02

      Day trip to Mutianyu Great Wall. Take bus 867 from Dongzhimen at 7am, arrive 9am. Cable car up, walk the wall 2 hours, toboggan down.
