2 Days in Tianjin 天津 — Five Great Avenues, Italian Style Town & Tianjin Eye

Best season: September–October for clear skies and mild temps around 18–24°C. Pace: moderate — about 15,000 steps/day, mix of walking and metro. Day 1 — Concessions, Avenues & the Eye

Morning: Arrival & Five Great Avenues (五大道)

Take the G- or D-series intercity train from Beijing South 北京南 to Tianjin 天津, departing every 10–20 minutes. Fastest is the Beijing–Tianjin Intercity Railway (京津城际), ~30 min, second-class seat ¥54.5 (verify with 12306). From Tianjin Station 天津站, walk 1 km or take Metro Line 3 to Tianta Station (天塔站).

• Porcelain House (Cí Diàn 瓷房子) at 64 Chifeng dao — a French-era mansion clad in ~700 million porcelain shards, ¥50 entry (verify on the official site).
