2-Day Xi'an Itinerary

2-Day Xi'an Itinerary

TL;DR — Two days in Xi'an (西安) covers the Terracotta Army (兵马俑), the Ancient City Wall (城墙), the Muslim Quarter (回民街), and one Tang dynasty evening show. Add a half-day at the Shaanxi History Museum (陕西历史博物馆) if you have time. Xi'an is a 4,000-year-old capital at the eastern terminus of the Silk Road; expect a city of 13 million with rapid modernization, surrounded by the most intact Ming-era city wall in China. Best months: March-May, September-November. Avoid July-August (35°C+) and the first week of October (Golden Week).
