Is 7 days enough for Hong Kong, Macau, and Shenzhen?
Yes for highlights. 4 days HK + 2 days Macau + 1 day Shenzhen is the classic split. Add 2 days for Lantau Island hiking, Shenzhen's tech scene, or Zhuhai.
Do I need a separate visa for Hong Kong and Macau?
No for most Western travelers — Hong Kong and Macau allow visa-free entry for 90 days. Mainland China requires a separate visa (or visa-free 30 days in 2026).
Is Macau worth 2 days?
Yes if you want to see the historic center (UNESCO, 25+ sites) at a relaxed pace. 1 day is enough if you only want the casinos and Cotai Strip.
