About 60 kilometres out: the Yunlong ground fissure at walking pace, then the Qixingzhai cliff trail and the One Incense Pillar, near 150 metres tall and only about 4 metres across at its thinnest.

Lichuan — Tenglong Cave

Some 40 minutes by rail to Lichuan for the cave of 59.8 surveyed kilometres and its 74-by-64-metre mouth; keep the afternoon for Lichuan's riverside and the sweet fermented glutinous-rice snacks.

Roughly 54 kilometres north in Sunriver township, a karst field of stone blades, lotus-leaf slabs and squeeze-through passages — cooler than the valley in summer.
