South to Lingshi's Jing sheng town, where the Wang compound stacks 123 courtyards and 1,118 rooms across 25 hectares of terraced hillside — budget a full day for the two main clusters.

Qi county & Yuci — northbound departure

The Qiao compound began in 1756 and grew to six courts, twenty smaller yards and 313 rooms, a set piece for films since 1991; finish in Yuci old town, founded in 582, before trains north.
