Arrival, Dome of Light & Night Market

The HSR ends at Zuoying and the 2008 metro covers the 10-minute ride to Formosa Boulevard, where the Dome of Light — near 4,500 panes of glass across a 30-metre circle — hangs over the platforms. Liouhe market's 350-metre food street is a short walk east.

Pier-2, Hamasen & Love River

Galleries fill the 1973 warehouse rows beside the old Takao rail yard of 1900, and the circular light rail loops the piers. Save the evening for the 12-kilometre Love River, lit from bank to bank.

Cijin Ferry, British Consulate & Sunset

The Gushan–Cijin crossing takes about 5 minutes; the 1883 lighthouse and the 1875 fort guard the hill above the old street. Back across the water, the 1879 consulate terrace watches the sun drop into Sizihwan before the metro returns to Zuoying.
