Arrival & Riverside Evening

A soft landing in Longyan — the new town riverside walk along the Longjin river, an early bowl of local noodle soup, and an early night before the tulou run.

Day 2

Yongding — Hongkeng & Chengqi Lou

About an hour to Yongding, core of the Fujian tulou inscribed in 2008 — Zhencheng Lou of 1912 on its bagua plan, Chengqi Lou with four concentric rings and some 400 rooms; overnight in a tulou guesthouse.

Day 3

Chuxi & Gutian

Dawn over Chuxi's riverside cluster, oldest hall dating to 1419 by most datings, then the protected Gutian site where the December 1929 meeting convened in a clan hall; back to Longyan by evening.

Day 4

Guanzhai & Shimen Lake

About 1.5 hours to Liancheng — cliffs rising from the lake, a ridge walk and a boat loop; sleep in Liancheng town for the village morning.

Day 5

Peitian & Longkong Cave

The Hakka lanes of Peitian, a river-side village of some 800 years with Ming-Qing courtyards, then the karst chambers of Longkong cave about 50 km from Longyan on the way back — evening train from Longyan.
