Day 1

Qinglong — Twenty-Four Bends

Leave Xingyi on the Hukun expressway, about 90 km or 1.5 hours to Qinglong County. The 1930s wartime road packs 24 hairpins into roughly 4 km of hillside; the viewing deck above shows the whole switchback string, and the film-set Annan Old Town sits below.

Zhenfeng — Twin Cones & Sancha River

About an hour south of Qinglong, a pair of near-identical karst cones some 260 metres tall rise from the fields at Shuangrufeng; the Sancha River area a short drive on adds reservoir walkways and a campsite under the same peaks.

Day 3

Anlong — Lotus Causeway & Departure

The stone causeway raised in 1694 runs about 300 m through lotus ponds that peak in July-August. The Tomb of the Eighteen Gentlemen records 18 Ming-loyalist officials killed in 1654, when the Yongli court sat in Anlong. Wanfenglin and Malinghe sit in Xingyi — see the xingyi pages; the airport is about an hour back.
