Wanfeng Forest and Nahui Village

Take the 70-yuan ticket plus the 50-yuan shuttle to the lookout loop over nearly 20,000 cone peaks, then walk or cycle into Nahui Village — rapeseed runs January to March and the fried-rice lanes are a local ritual.

Malinghe Canyon and Guizhou Dragons

The canyon runs 74.8 km long and up to 280 m deep, falls at full throat June to September — entry about 80 yuan. Twenty minutes on at Dingxiao, the museum displays Guizhou-dragon fossils some 240 million years old.

Wanfeng Lake and Departure

A 40-minute drive south to the 176-sq-km reservoir for a boat run among green islets, then back downtown for Xingyi mutton rice noodles around the street-center gardens before leaving.
