Changbai North Slope — Lake & Falls

Shuttle and jeep to the crater lake (Tianchi, 2,189 m), boardwalks to the 68 m waterfall and Green Deep Pool.

Valley-bottom Forest & Back

Morning in the sunken ravine where old firs climb out of the shadow, then the drive back to Yanji; the dinosaur museum was built after fossils surfaced in 2016.

Tumen Riverfront & On to Hunchun

About 40 minutes by train to the Tumen riverfront square, then east to Hunchun — about 1.5 h more — for a European-styled main street and seafood.

Fangchuan — Three Countries in One Glance

About 70 km southeast, the Longhu tower stands above the last bend of the Tumen River; China, Russia and DPRK share the panorama, and the sea lies roughly 15 km beyond the estuary.
