One of the largest bamboo forests in Asia — 120 km² of towering bamboo covering the hills south of Yibin. The experience is almost otherworldly: green columns of bamboo as far as you can see, the hollow sound of bamboo in the wind, lakes and waterfalls within the forest, and a bamboo suspension bridge. Most atmospheric early morning (before 09:00) when mist fills the valleys.
What is the Wuliangye distillery like?
One of the world's largest baijiu distilleries, producing Wuliangye — a "light aroma" (轻型) baijiu made with five grains. The standard tour (¥60, 1.5 hours) includes the museum and fermentation area. The premium tasting tour (¥150, 2.5 hours) adds the aging cellars and a multi-expression tasting. Wuliangye is the baijiu of choice at formal Chinese banquets. Children are not permitted.
