Ejin Horo — the shrine of the keepers

About 45 kilometres south, the complex is a memorial shrine — the burial place itself is unrecorded — and its caretaker families have tended the site since 1227, close to 800 years; the current halls date from the 1954 rebuild. Back in town, Kangzhen's lanes do dinner.
