Nanxun — Merchants' Water Town

Mogan Mountain

About 60 km southwest in Deqing county, the hill tops out at 724 meters and keeps some 200 early-20th-century villas from its summer-resort years; the sword-sharpening pool at the falls is the legend stop. One of China's four classic summer hills.

The Feiying pagoda in town is a pagoda within a pagoda — an inner stone core from the Tang era under a wooden shell rebuilt in Song times. End on the Taihu shore, where the ring-shaped Moon Hotel marks the new lakeshore, and take the fast train out of Huzhou station.
