Qianwei — boat street & steam train

An hour south to Qianwei County for Luocheng's roughly 200-metre roofed main street built like a boat, then the 762-millimetre-gauge Jiayang line, about 20 kilometres of 1950s track that still runs scheduled steam passenger service.

Jiajiang — cliff Buddhas & the weir

North to Jiajiang for Tang-dynasty niches at the Thousand-Buddha cliff above the Qingyi River, then the Dongfeng weir, listed among the world's heritage irrigation structures in 2014, and the county's bamboo-paper workshops.
