Day 1

Arrival, Likeng & Moon Bay

HSR puts Wuyuan about 30 minutes from Huangshan North, 2 hours from Hangzhou, around 3 hours from Shanghai. Likeng, 12 km from the county town, is best before 10:00 ahead of tour groups; stop at Moon Bay on the way back — free, just the river bend and a bamboo raft.

Day 2

Jiangling Terraces & Xiaoqi

Jiangling lies 55 km northeast, about 1.5 hours by car; the 210-yuan through ticket covers 12 county sites and stays valid 5 days. Rapeseed blooms mid-March to early April. Xiaoqi, 20 minutes back down the same road, keeps a thousand-year camphor tree and old merchants' lanes.

Day 3

Huangling Whole Day

Huangling, 13 km out, sells a ticket-and-cableway combo at about 135 yuan. Give the village half a day — the hilltop lanes plus the terraced fields below bloom March to April; the shaiqiu displays peak September to November but run all year.

Day 4

Rainbow Bridge & Wolong Valley

Rainbow Bridge in Qinghua town, 20 km west, is a nearly 900-year-old covered bridge from the Southern Song; pair it with Wolong Valley about 15 km further north — boardwalks along pools and rapids, 2-3 hours on foot. Last shared vans back to the county town leave by early evening.

Day 5

Sixi-Yancun & Departure

The paired merchant villages of Sixi and Yancun, 13 km from town, pack Qing-dynasty mansions with carved brick gates — covered by the through ticket, last entries around 17:00. Wuyuan has no airport; Jingdezhen's is the nearest, about 1.5 hours by car.
