Erlangjian sits about 150 km away in Gonghe County, Hainan Prefecture — part of Qinghai Province but not Xining city — roughly 2.5 hours by car. The lake lies at 3,196 m; seasonal entry runs 90 yuan, lakeside rapeseed blooms July-August, and mild altitude symptoms are normal.
