Fly to Tengchong — Heshun Ancient Town
The Kunming–Tengchong flight runs about 1 hour 10 minutes; Heshun's stone lanes have carried an overseas-Chinese trading culture for some 600 years, and its rural library dates to 1928.

Rehai geothermal & volcano country
Watch the Big Boiling Pot roll at roughly 97°C, then take the steps into the Dakongshan crater; locals count 99 volcanoes and 88 hot springs around Tengchong.

Beihai Wetland & Ginkgo Village

The 1945 cemetery and memorial hall record the 1944 recovery of Tengchong, the first county seat retaken in the counteroffensive; then about 3 hours of road south to Ruili on the Myanmar border.

The gilt Jiele stupa counts among Dehong's oldest Buddhist sites; at Yinjing a Dai village lane runs along the border fence — carry your ID and follow the signage.

Mangshi golden pagoda, fly back
The hilltop stupa above Mangshi rises about 76 m over the valley; the afternoon flight from Dehong back to Kunming takes roughly 1 hour 10 minutes.

Stone Forest day trip
The karst pillars stand 78 km southeast, about 90 minutes by car — allow 3 hours inside the 2007 UNESCO site and return to Kunming for the evening.
