HSR to Furong Town

Honest note — Furong Town lies in Yongshun County, Xiangxi; the Zhangjihuai HSR covers it in about half an hour, and the village hangs over a waterfall that runs after dark.

Furong Town to Fenghuang

Morning above the falls, then the rail leg on to Fenghuang in roughly 40 minutes; arrive for the stilted houses lighting up along the Tuojiang.

Fenghuang, return & departure

Cross the Hong Bridge before the coaches, see Shen Congwen's former residence, ride the HSR back in about an hour and fly out of Hehua Airport in the evening.
