Lingyin Temple (灵隐寺, Líng Yǐn Sì)
灵隐寺又名云林寺，始建于东晋咸和元年（326年），是杭州最著名、规模最大的佛教寺院。寺内古木参天，石刻造像众多，其中飞来峰上的元代造像群是中国南方最大的石刻艺术宝库之一。

What to expect
灵隐寺位于杭州西湖区灵隐路法云弄，坐落于北高峰与飞来峰之间，群峰环绕，古木参天。寺院规模宏大，建筑精美，主要有天王殿、大雄宝殿、药师殿、藏经楼等建筑群。寺内香火极盛，每逢初一十五及重大节日，香客如云。大雄宝殿内的释迦牟尼佛像高19.6米，用24块香樟木雕成，气势恢宏。
相传印度僧人慧理在此建寺时，见飞来峰感叹此乃中天竺国灵鹫峰之小岭，不知何以飞来，故名灵隐。飞来峰上的造像群始凿于元代，470余尊石刻散布于山壁林间，题材丰富，雕刻精美，是研究元代石刻艺术的珍贵实物。永福寺位于灵隐寺西侧，同为千年古刹，环境清幽。
游览建议：建议早晨前往以避开人流。从山门进入后先登飞来峰观石刻造像，再下山参观灵隐寺各殿堂。寺内素斋馆可在午间用餐时间品尝素面。参拜时请注意佛教礼仪，不要用手指佛像。景区周边茶叶店较多，非必购。山上蚊虫较多，夏季建议带驱蚊水。

杭州公交7路、324路、807路至灵隐站，下车后沿灵隐路步行约500米。地铁1号线龙翔桥站A口出，换乘7路公交约20分钟。杭州东站打车约30元，30分钟可达。
