成都大熊猫繁育研究基地位于成都北郊成华区,是中国政府实施大熊猫迁地保护战略的主要基地。基地始建于1987年,从野外抢救的6只大熊猫开始,发展至今已有100余只圈养大熊猫,占全球圈养大熊猫总数的60%以上。
基地模拟野生熊猫栖息地环境建设,拥有熊猫幼儿园、熊猫太阳产房(亚成年熊猫)、熊猫一号别墅、熊猫二号别墅等参观区域。其中太阳产房人气最旺,经常有熊猫宝宝诞生。成年熊猫多在上午进食和活动,中午至下午大多在睡觉。
参观建议早起,上午8点左右入园,此时熊猫最活跃。基地很大,建议买观光车票串联各景点。拍照禁止使用闪光灯。周边有成都动物园(可联游)、昭觉寺。
地铁3号线熊猫大道站B口出,换乘景区直通车(免费)。公交87、198A路熊猫基地站。
大熊猫是黑白熊科的熊猫,小熊猫是红色毛皮的小型浣熊科动物,两者完全不同。
